Bob Kaseda of Kirtland finished second in Lighten Up a few years ago, but came back because he saw the weight creeping back on. He's competitive, and works hard, so he's expecting big results.

Week 20

Hi Everyone, Well number 4 weigh in is in the books and I am pleased to report a loss. I had a real struggle with a huge gain from vacation and it set me back. But that is history and today, I was lighter then last month and that is all that really matters. I have been exercising with my workout partner everyday for the last 13 days and plan to continue all summer. It is time to turn up the heat as we enter into June with just 2 months to go. Good luck and Be Strong! Bob

Week 19

Hi Everyone, I am very excited to write this blog because I now have a workout partner to help me get moving. This partner has worked together with me all week and plans to continue through the summer. This partner is someone that I love very much and needs to prepare for basketball season in the fall. Working with this partner makes the walking and running workout seem to fly by and it is so much better then being out there alone. Who is this new workout partner that has me all excited? It is my 11 year old daughter Emily! I am so proud of her and so happy to have her by my side. By the end of summer we will need to go clothes shopping because both of us will need an all new wardrobe. Good luck and be strong Bob & Emily

Week 18

Hi Everyone, I like to think of myself as a positive motivated energetic person.  I am also a energetic and sometimes, impatient outside salesman that has learned to be patient. You see in my sales career things don't always happen as fast as I would like them to happen and I have learned over my many years in the sales game, that being consistent and hard working will payoff in the end. The same rules apply with weigh loss and I realize that my goals might not happen as fast as I want them to happen (Just like closing a sale). I wanted to reach a very large goal of 100 pound weight loss, but I have hit a solid plateau that will not even let me past 1/4 of the way to my huge goal. I have learned so much of the last 5 years of my life with the ultimate range of weigh going from the highest I have ever weighed at 300lbs+ to a high school weight of close to 200lbs and everywhere in between. Some may be ready to end this crazy contest, but I will miss this when it ends in July and I want to make the most of it while it lasts. I could go on and on but I need to get up and go crawl, walk or run. Good luck and be strong. Bob

Week 17

Hi everyone, There are 3 more weeks before our next weigh in and I have my work cut out for me. Life goes on and there seems to be one event after another and sometimes I feel trapped into bad choices because that is all there is or just don't eat. I went to a social the other night with Beer, Chicken Fingers, Pizza, meatballs and stuffed mushrooms. There was some fruit and cheese but that is it. I tried to be very careful but it still was a high calorie night. I am doing good maintaining my weight loss but I need to really focus to continue reducing. I know it sounds crazy but It would be better to just bring your own food with you and then you can stay in control ALWAYS. Good Luck and be strong! Bob

Week 16

Hi Everyone, I am so honored to be involved with such a determined focused group of people that want to change there life. After 3 months this doesn't get any easier and there are constant temptations along the way to help try to derail the weight loss train. Tomorrow is my daughters 1st communion at church with a party after. Lately I have had many opportunities to get side tracked but I must and will stay strong not only for my self, but for the group. As much as it is a contest, it is also developing into a team effort. It is like there is a sea of temptation around all of us and we are all together as a group on our own little island. My plan is simple! Monday starts another 17 day diet cycle and if my math is correct, I have 28 more days until the 4th weigh in. I really need to turn up the heat if I am going to caught the leaders that means more sweat and tears! Good luck and Be Strong! Bob
